ख़रीदी गई चीज़ के साथ “pay for” लगाइए। व्यक्ति या बिल के साथ सिर्फ़ “pay”: “I paid the bill.” हिंदी में “खाने के पैसे दिए” कहते हैं; अंग्रेज़ी में यही बात “paid for the dinner” से कही जाती है।
