How PromGee guides and exercises are written, sourced, dated and corrected, and how our commercial interest affects what we publish.

Who writes PromGee content

All guides and exercises on promgee.com are written by Raheel Ashraf, the founder of PromGee. Each guide names him as the author. PromGee does not currently have a separate editorial team, outside reviewers or subject-matter consultants, and we do not claim otherwise.

Authorship and assisted maintenance

Raheel Ashraf is the credited author and is responsible for the published guides and exercises. Automated tools, including AI coding assistants, can assist later corrections, localization maintenance and technical checks. These tools do not establish independent editorial or native-speaker review.

This is separate from the product. The PromGee app and the free web tools do use AI: the desktop app generates explanations of quiz answers, and the web tools send the text you enter to DeepSeek for processing. AI output in those tools can be wrong, so review suggestions before you rely on them.

Localized versions

Some guides are published in other languages, including Japanese, Korean, Arabic, Hindi and Turkish. These localized versions are not currently reviewed by native speakers. If you are a native speaker and notice wording that sounds unnatural or is wrong, please let us know through the contact page; reports like this are especially useful.

How we source grammar rules

Grammar guides list their references on the page. We cite established reference publishers, most often Cambridge Dictionary's grammar pages and the British Council's LearnEnglish lessons, and in some guides Purdue OWL or BBC Learning English. Where usage is genuinely divided, such as agreement with none, we say so and describe what the reference sources say rather than presenting one option as the only correct form.

Product facts, such as price, platforms and features, are checked against the current app and the pricing page. On comparison pages, facts about other products come only from those companies' official pages, which we link with the date we checked them. If we cannot verify a competitor fact, we leave it out.

Published and updated dates

The published date is the date a page first appeared on this site. We change the updated date only after a substantive content change, such as a corrected rule, a new section, or revised examples. Fixing a typo, changing the layout, or editing links does not change the updated date, and we do not refresh dates to make pages look newer.

Corrections

If you find an error in a guide, an exercise answer or a product fact, please report it through the contact page. Include the page address and, if possible, a reference that supports the correction. When we confirm an error, we fix the page and change its updated date.

Commercial interest and independence

PromGee Inc. publishes this site and sells the PromGee desktop app for Windows. Our guides link to PromGee's own app, pricing page and free tools, and we benefit if you buy a license. We do not run sponsored posts, and we do not accept payment from other companies for coverage or links.

We try to keep that interest from distorting the content: grammar explanations follow the cited references, not what is convenient for the product, and comparison pages state what competing products do better. If you think a page crosses that line, tell us.
