“fall” का इस्तेमाल
“fall” का अर्थ नीचे गिरना है, लेकिन इसका अर्थ कम होना (prices fell) और किसी हालत में पहुँचना भी है: fall asleep, fall ill, fall in love। इन उदाहरणों में इसके साथ कोई direct object नहीं आता।

“have” के बाद “fallen” आता है। “fell” past simple है।
एक और गलती जिससे बचें

I fell my phone in the water.

I dropped my phone in the water.
अगर आपसे फ़ोन गिरा, तो “drop” कहें: “I dropped my phone”, जबकि “My phone fell” का मतलब है कि फ़ोन ख़ुद गिरा। हिंदी में “गिरना” से “गिराना” बन जाता है, पर अंग्रेज़ी में “fall” के बाद इस तरह object नहीं आता; किसी चीज़ को गिराने के लिए “drop” कहते हैं।
